VOUS ÊTES ICI (YOU ARE HERE), 2010. This piece was presented for the first time at the collective exhibition “There once was a drawing”, in the Ecarta gallery, Porto Alegre-RS, curated by Gabriela Motta en 2010. Motivated to read the novel In search of lost time by Marcel Proust during a year of living in Paris, the artist produced a stamp with the inscripción “You are here” using the same symbol as the Parisian urban transport organisation RATP, that is used on the maps of the city. During the reading, all the “time” words were highlighted in the book. In this way, time is not conceptually lost.

THE MAN WITHOUT QUALITIES HUNTING FOR WORDS, 2007. Work presented for the first time at the individual exhibition at the West Gallery, São Paulo-SP. This piece was carried out off the back of the novel The man without qualities by Robert Musil. The affirmative frase that gave the book its name led the artist to highlight all of the text’s adjectives, which amounted to 30301 words. The work reunites 134 harsh cotton fabrics, each of which have 40 adjectives in the form of a word search. Taking into account that some adjectives have been omitted, the artist develops two artefacts each containing two books, with one of each pair untouched: the first is called “The man actually without qualities” where the first group of identified adjectives  are crossed out in black pen; the second is called “The man without qualities, yet” where the adjectives omitted in the first reading appear in white corrector fluid. A book of the artist forms part of the exhibition entitled “” “The man without qualities hunting for words” containing the reprinting of the 134 word search grids, positioning itself in a crossword format.
