Rio de Janeiro, 1957. Brasil.
Doctor in Visual Arts from the EBA/UFRJ. Assistant teacher at the Institute of The Arts/UERJ and in the Department of Art and Design/PUC-RJ. Salgado was resident artist at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, England and she participated in the RioArte Scholarship Program. She has receieved different awards, among them the CEMIG painting and the 18th Salão National Art Exhibiton/MG and the Funarte – Contemporary Art 2010. Since 1981 she has ran individual exhibitions and participates in collective displaysn at institucions such as the Imperial Palace (Rio de Janeiro), the YSPark (England), la Petite Galerie (Rio de Janeiro), The Anna Maria Niemeyer Gallery (Río de Janeiro), The Baró-Sena Gallery (São Paulo), the MAM-RJ, the MAM-SP, the MAC-Niterói or the CCBB-SP. Her works are in the collections of João Sattamini, Gilberto Chateaubriand (MAM-RJ) and in the University of Essex Collection of Latin American Art. Her most recent works were Vista, en France-Brasil House, and Nudity and Image in the Funarte-BH.
